Week 2 Rankings for Fantasy Baseball Power

Overall Week 2 BCS Standi..uh, Power Rankings

1. Kurt (29)
2. James (26)
2. Drew (26)
4. Ben (18)
4. TJ (18)
6. Colin (14)
7. Adrian (13)
8. Jarrett (11)
9. Alex (7)
10. Richie (3)

Kurt eked out a 5-4 victory, getting a save in Sunday Night Baseball to avoid the 5-5 tie over Colin.  This propelled him into the top spot in our standings.  Although his composite stats may shade in comparison to Drew's, a pitching heavy week 1 gives Drew the edge on paper.
James is beginning to pick up right where he left off at the end of last season.  He once again outslugged his opponent, tallied those wins using a "rotating pitching staff," and brought the thunder with a great team name referencing the Norton Lancers.  Of all the Tri-Valley League teams I expected to see in James' team name, this would not be my first guess.  (Hopkinton Hillers looks a lot like... Nevermind.)

Drew moves down to a tie in the two hole with a soft performance against a streaky TJ led team.  Drew's pitching dominance from week 1 fails to explain his 4.34 ERA and nearly 20 K deficit.  Which Drew will we see this week?  Stay tuned...

Ben and TJ also found themselves in a tie in our power rankings after having polar opposite starts to the season.  Ben, lucky in week 1 winning with relatively low numbers, lost in a not-so-hardfought effort against the aforementioned Ashland Clockers, err Norton Lance Berkman.  TJ came off a rough opening week to beat the previously top ranked Drew.

Colin's team has been putting up great numbers against even better competition.  With an easy week 3 against a team that only Richie would envy, Colin is definitely poised to move up in the standings.  (As I write this Colin is losing 9-1 to Alex.)

Jarrett came off a 22 HR performance to open the season to hit only 4 in week 2.  He finished the week with his second consecutive 5-5 tie.  No analysis there, he's pretty much the most mediocre team right now.  With a 5-5 tie this week against Drew he will... um.. he will have made it three consecutive 5-5 ties!

Alex only beat Richie 6-4, putting him in second to last.  Although by now I am sure it does not need to be stated, Richie rounds out the rankings with 3 (the lowest possible score) points.
